In 2007 Martin Höller and Martin Brugger, then two students of Software Engineering & Economy at the Technical University of Graz, started working on a new film budgeting tool with German film producer Joachim Knaf.
It soon became clear that the project was bigger than initially expected and so an application for acceptance in to the Science Park Graz was submitted. After the LineProducer project was accepted by the Science Park Graz, Nimblo Softwareentwicklungs OG was subsequently founded in the summer of 2008.
In 2009 the team was expanded with the inclusion of two additional developers, Martin Daum and Karl Heinz Struggl, to support the development of LineProducer.
